120519-N-YQ852-152 SAN DIEGO (May, 19, 2012) Sailors and Marines man the rails of the newest San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22) during the commissioning ceremony, May 19. San Diego will provide improved warfighting capabilities including an advanced command and control suite, increased lift capability, increased vehicle and cargo carrying capacity and advanced ship survivability features.
