“my greatest goal has always been to make my parents, proud, especially in light of the sacrifices they’ve made so I could pursue the education I dreamed of. For the past three years, they’ve worked tirelessly to ensure I could focus fully on my studies. Receiving the scholarship is one way I can get back. When we got the news, they were over joyed. My dad was especially moved to know that his service continues to support our family and such a meaningful way, even years after retiring.”
