“ my father was injured in combat when a grenade went off right under him, while he was treating a wounded, Marine, and the aftermath of this experience has had a profound impact on my life. I’m determined to earn a college degree so I can provide for my family, but without the scholarship, I’m not sure I would be able to attend college. Your support has helped me achieve my academic goals and is encouraging me in my pursuit of a career in sports.
